Kyle and Emma’s stunning wedding last year at Ballydugan Mill was one of my favourite ever and I’m heading there again soon to style another beautiful event.  I covered this beautiful wedding a while back over on the fab Party Pieces blog but thought I’d pop a post on here with some of the beautiful pics from the day. The gorgeous official wedding pics were taken by the very talented Naomi Campbell and the rest of the pics here were snapped on my phone as I set up.

The beautiful wedding ceremony was on the third floor of the mill and Emma wanted the bar in that area to be hidden so I used lace drapes, a pretty Venetian mirror and vases of flowers and candles to transform it. It’s such a lovely and unique venue with lots of little window sills and nooks and crannies for lanterns and candles and we took full advantage of this.  I had painted some old books pink and covered them with lace to sit on the signing of the register table.

Emma’s dress was in a stunningly beautiful pink with lots of  vintage detail including a lace overlay and we worked this into the decor by including dusky pinks, ivory and lots of lace and pretty vintage items. The bridesmaids were in ivory and the cutest little flower girl ever had both colours in her dress.

After the ceremony everyone went down to the ground floor which incorporates a beautiful courtyard and afternoon tea was served along with a lemonade stand and ice cream van. I styled  the dessert table in a Parisian patisserie style and macarons and stunning cupcakes by Judith’s Cakes & Bakes were served with homemade shortbread and other goodies. Tea and coffee was served in pretty vintage china and the sun came out allowing everyone to take full advantage of the ice cream and lemonade outside.

There were outdoor games and the most beautiful old gypsy caravan belonging to a friend of Kyle’s mum was set up in the courtyard as a very unique photo booth!

A most delicious dinner was then served on the middle floor of the mill which was decorated with lots of pretty bunting, candles and lanterns. Table centrepieces were a mixture of birdcages, lace lanterns and candelabras and fairylights were dotted around to add a magical atmosphere.

Tables were set with gorgeous vintage china in pinks and greens to match the stunning wedding cake by HK Cakes of Gold

 

An old pink typewriter, which I sourced on Etsy from Belgrade!, sat on a gorgeous sideboard which Emma had painted to be used to display the order of service.  And her own vintage sewing machine was incorporated into the decor. Emma and I became firm friends during the planning of her gorgeous wedding and we still meet up regularly for a good girlie catchup which is lovely!  We all had dinner together at my house a couple of weeks ago and the boys watched the football while we got all caught up!
