I’ve had a few enquiries recently regarding my workshops so thought I’d do a quick post with some info and pics to make it easier for anyone who might be interested. Ideally the maximum number for my workshops at the minute  is for eight people as after the crafting  we have a sit down afternoon tea and this is the perfect number for round my kitchen table! I usually suggest a date on my FB & IG stories and people…

Lucy & Belle event at Galgorm Resort & Spa

When the lovely Clara of Lucy & Belle phoned me one day out of the blue to chat about an idea she’d had to host a very special afternoon tea for bloggers in N Ireland I was delighted as everyone knows how much I love a project and especially one which involves pretty teacups, flowers and delicious food! Clara truly is the most lovely person and very like myself when it comes to being particular about little details and making…

Spring table decor

When I have friends round for a little catch up I usually try and make an effort to set a pretty table and my table decor generally reflects whichever season we are in.  Spring is definitely the season to embrace all things pretty and pastel and these gorgeous vintage Colclough ballet teacups fit the bill perfectly with their delicate florals and pastel hues. I found the prettiest little vintage embroidered table cloths on eBay featuring Easter chicks, flowers & eggs…

Spring & Easter decor ??

Easter & Spring decorating is always lots of fun with all the cute pastel accessories and pretty pink tulips and setting an Easter table is one of my favourites.  I usually restrict my decorating to the kitchen and start it off by changing my shelving unit by displaying  some of my Hogben pottery and little Easter decorations. If you saw my Christmas decor you’ll know that I LOVE my vintage postcards and I have the cutest collection of Easter ones…

Summer entertaining

Now that there’s a hint of spring in the air and the daffodils and snowdrops are popping up in the garden it’s making me look to warmer sunnier days ahead.  Entertaining guests in the summer months is lovely as it’s very relaxed and I like to create little seating areas  around the garden for everyone to sit and enjoy. Instead of setting a table I just have plates and cutlery next to the food for everyone to help themselves which…

Celebrating the art of the special occasion ??

My current favourite crafting item is this sparkly gold fabric as it’s super pretty and it catches the light beautifully so I’ve been using it for all sorts of things! I used it to make my little granddaughter Lydia a crown for her first birthday and some blocks with her name on and here I’ve used it to make some pretty napkin rings. It comes in an A4 size sheet and for the napkin rings I just cut it into…

Christmas table decor

Setting a pretty table has always been a  big passion of mine and I’m a great believer in making every occasion special and taking the time to include little details which will appeal to all my guests.  Last Christmas I used vintage  china and beautiful floral vintage glasses with lots of pastels on the table but this year I have  borrowed my daughter Rebecca’s gorgeous wedding china which is Wedgwood Vera Wang Lace and used my crystal stemmed glasses. I…

Vintage Christmas 2016

My Christmas decorating always starts at my front door as it’s the first impression people have of your home and I like it to reflect my general Christmas decor.  This year I bought a heart wreath from my local garden centre and added some ribbon & a vintage brooch to it. I had picked up some beautiful blue lanterns earlier this year from a local interiors shop and put some vintage Christmas baubles and candles inside them and they matched…

Vintage Christmas

It’s that time of year again, the changing of the seasons and when you start to feel a nip in the air. It’s my favourite time of year and I’ll take it over summer anytime.  Cosy nights in with log fires, candles, blankets and hot drinks are my idea of bliss. I always start to burn my cinnamon Yankee candles in October and I feel that Christmas music is perfectly acceptable from anytime in November!! I absolutely love the Christmas…

Ballydugan Mill-Vintage Wedding

Kyle and Emma’s stunning wedding last year at Ballydugan Mill was one of my favourite ever and I’m heading there again soon to style another beautiful event.  I covered this beautiful wedding a while back over on the fab Party Pieces blog but thought I’d pop a post on here with some of the beautiful pics from the day. The gorgeous official wedding pics were taken by the very talented Naomi Campbell and the rest of the pics here were…
